- 2 oz citrus vodka
- 1 oz lemon juice
- 1 oz simple syrup
- opt: 1/2 oz triple sec
- rim a martini glass with sugar
- in a shaker filled with ice, mix citrus vodka, lemon juice, simple syrup, and triple sec (if desired) together
- shake well
- strain (double-strain if possible) into martini glass with sugar rim (rocks glass can also be used, but not as commonly)
- garnish with lemon twist, as well as sugar rim
